Yuri Andrejewitsch Kolokolnikow ( Russian Юрий Андреевич Колокольников ; English Yuri Kolokolnikov ; born December 15, 1980 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Russian actor . He is also a Canadian citizen.

Career

Yuri Kolokolnikow was born in 1980 in the Soviet capital Moscow . He has been an actor since 1998. Over a period of almost 15 years, he appeared primarily in Russian film and television productions before he was also seen in internationally successful productions. In 2011 he played the role of Oswald Rayner in the television film Rasputin - Clairvoyant of the Tsarina .

He gained international fame for the role of Styr , the leader of the Thenn, whom he played in the fourth season of the fantasy series Game of Thrones in 2014 . A year later he was seen as Yuri in the action film The Transporter Refueled .

Personal

Kolokolnikov became the father of a daughter in 2006. He was in a relationship with his colleague Xenija Rappoport until 2014 . The relationship resulted in another daughter who was born in 2011
