Yuri Maximowitsch Slobodkin

Yuri Maximowitsch Slobodkin ( Russian Юрий Максимович Слободкин ; born November 7, 1939 in Malyje Lomy , Tumanowo district; † July 2014 ) was a Russian lawyer, judge and professor of rights.

Life

After doing his military service in the Tyelyabinsk region from 1958 to 1961, he then studied in Sverdlovsk ( Yekaterinburg ) until 1965 . In 1965 he became a judge of the People's Court in the city of Solnetynogorsk (in the Moscow region). He was one of Boris Yeltsin's harshest critics . From May 26 to November 30, 1992, he examined the files relating to the Katyn massacre .

Slobodkin taught law at the Moscow Pedagogical Institute.
