Yuri Ivanovich Moissejew ( Russian Юрий Иванович Моисеев ; born July 15, 1940 in Penza ; † September 24, 2005 in Moscow ) was a Russian ice hockey player (striker / center) and coach.

Career

During his career he played for HK CSKA Moscow . In total, he scored 193 goals in 400 games in the Soviet league . He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On February 26, 1965 he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1968 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 13 goals in 37 international matches. In 1968 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". On March 8, 1971, he played his last international match.

After his active career Moissejew became an ice hockey coach. First he was part of the coaching staff of CSKA Moscow, then he worked for SKA Kuibyshev . Between 1976 and 1984 he was assistant coach at CSKA Moscow under Konstantin Loktew and Viktor Tichonow .

From 1984 he was head coach of HK Dynamo Moscow and led this club to the podium of the Soviet championship four times - three times to second and once to third place. In 1989 he left Dynamo.

In the 1994/95 season he worked as head coach of the ZSK WWS Samara . From 1995 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2005 Moissejew supervised the Ak Bars Kazan and won the Russian championship with this in 1998 .
