Jurij Kramer

Jurij Kramer (born June 28, 1940 in Moscow ) is a German actor, screenwriter and director.

Life

Jurij was born in Moscow in 1940 as the son of a dancer and the railway engineer Erwin Kramer , who later became Minister for Transport of the GDR and General Director of the Deutsche Reichsbahn , who emigrated to the USSR because of the impending high treason trial . After the war, his family moved back to Germany, where they settled in the eastern part of Berlin.

Jurij Kramer later studied acting at the State Drama School in Berlin-Niederschöneweide , made his debut as a theater actor on a stage in Greifswald and then played in Halle, where he also performed his first directing duties. In addition, from 1970 Kramer also worked for the German TV broadcaster (DFF) , initially as an assistant, later as a director and staged various literary adaptations , such as Cyankali , Fool's Wisdom, but also contemporary flicks for GDR television.

With the fall of the Wall , his professional situation changed, he played again primarily as an actor in various television productions, mostly in series such as Ein Bayer auf Rügen , For all cases Stefanie , Coast Guard .
