Just Friends was a German pop group that existed from 1995 to 1998. The group consisted of four members: Denise Zich , Sabine Manke , Matthias Fuchs and Daniel Höferlin and was produced by Lutz Fahrenkrog-Petersen (younger brother of Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen ).

history

The band was cast specially for the RTL soap Gute Zeiten, Zeiten , which they finally made known. There they played as Just Friends the opposing participants of the band CHAK (Charlie Fierek ( Julian Scheunemann ), Andi Lehmann ( Raphael Schneider ) and Kim Scheele ( Alexandra Finder )) in a band casting competition: Daniela Zöllner (Zich), Susanne Münch (Manke), Markus Frisch (Fuchs) and Dirk Hoff (Höferlin). The first single Ever and Ever was featured in the series and reached number five in the charts. There the single was able to stay in the top ten for a total of five weeks and was awarded gold for over 250,000 units sold . The following singles The Present That I Want , Friends and Anytime Anyplace from the album Friends Forever also achieved good positions in the charts.

In 1996 Denise Zich left the band because she wanted to devote herself to her acting career. In her place came Jessica Schulte, who was introduced to the series as Nico Weimershaus' ( Raphaël Vogt ) cousin, into the band. In 1997 Matthias Fuchs left the band and was replaced by Fares Hadid.

The second album was released in 1998 under the name World of Colors . The album and the singles Runnin 'Around and Take My Heart released from it could not build on the success. So the band broke up in 1998. In 2000 a best of album was released, which aroused little interest.
