Justin Wittig

Justin Wittig (born January 11, 1907 in Neuendorf (Lower Franconia) ; † May 13, 1981 in Würzburg ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and vicar general of the diocese of Würzburg from 1961 to 1981 .

Justin Wittig studied Catholic theology at the University of Würzburg and became a member of the KDSt.V. Franco-Raetia zu Würzburg in the CV . On 16 March 1930 he received by Bishop Matthias Ehrenfried the priesthood . He spent his chaplain years a. a. in Stockstadt . From 1935 to 1939 he was an expat in Gailbach. He returned to the parish of Stockstadt as a pastor and worked there from 1939 to 1948. The planning for the construction of the Rosary Church began under him.

In 1962 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested on September 29, 1962 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Justin Wittig worked until 1981 as prior of the Commandery Würzburg of the order of knights.
