Justus Friedrich Zachariae
Justus Friedrich Zachariae (born December 1, 1704 in Haina (Nessetal) , † March 8, 1773 in Kiel ) was a Lutheran theologian and orientalist .
Works
Justus Friedrich Zachariae, son of the pastor in Haina Friedrich Wilhelm Zachariae, studied theology in Jena . There he shaped it by the very old Hebrew Johann Andreas Danz . After his death, Zachariae moved to the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , where he received his master's degree in 1731. From 1735 to 1742 he was an associate professor for Oriental languages at Kiel University, in 1742 he became a full professor for biblical antiquities and in 1747 a full professor for theology. After suffering a stroke , he retired in 1769.
