Jwira-Pepesa is a Ghanaian language and is used by 18,000 (2003) speakers in the south-western corner of Ghana.
The Jwira people live north of Axim between Bamiankaw and Humjibere along the Ankobra River in 18 villages. The Pepesa live in Wasa land between the Agona junction and Tarkwa. Dompim is the central city. A mountain ridge separates the two groups.
Alternative names are Pepesa-Jwira. Recognized dialects are Jwira and Pepesa. A match of 60% to Nzema is given.
