Jyoti Prakash Dutta
Jyoti Prakash Dutta (known as JP Dutta ; born October 3, 1949 in Bombay , Maharashtra ) is an Indian film director and producer in the Bollywood film industry.
Dutta produces his films under his own film production company JP Films. His most important films include The Border , Refugee and Umrao Jaan . For Border he received a Filmfare Award for Best Director and a Nargis Dutt Award . He is a member of the Advisory Board for the International Indian Film Academy Awards .
JP Dutta is the son of the film director and screenwriter OP Dutta , with whom he also works. He is married to actress Bindiya Goswami and has two daughters, Nidi and Siddhi.
