Károly Ferenc Szabó
Károly Ferenc Szabó (born August 29, 1943 in Dej , Romania ; † January 25, 2011 ) was a Romanian politician and former member of the European Parliament for the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania .
He had been a member of the Romanian parliament since February 17, 2004 and was a member of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, from September 2004 as deputy group chairman. In the wake of Romania's accession to the European Union he was from 1 January 2007 to 9 December 2007 the European Parliament and was a member of the there Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats .
