Kähnitzsch

Kähnitzsch was a district of Annaburg in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany . The place is on the right bank of the Elbe .

history

Until 1815 Kähnitzsch belonged to the office of Annaburg . In 1550 "seven possessed men" lived here, including a gardener, who were directly subordinate to the Lochau office. Another eight possessed men were subordinate to the Saxon office of Schweinitz . In 1938 it became a district of Axien , which in turn became a district of Annaburg on January 1, 2011.

An earlier spelling of the place name was Kenitzsch (1550).

The town hall bordered on Prettin and the villages of Axien, Hohndorf and Lebien .

Kähnitzsch was parish in Axien.
