Austria

In Austria, the official designation according to the Vocational Training Act (BAG) is apprentice refrigeration technology . Refrigeration system technicians also go through a three-year dual training course and finish this with the final apprenticeship examination . You can work independently in the regulated craft of refrigeration and air conditioning . A master craftsman examination facilitates the granting of authorizations, but is not mandatory.
