The Kärntner Landeskrankenanstalten-Betriebsgesellschaft (KABEG), based in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, is the operating company for all regional hospitals in the Austrian state of Carinthia .
The KABEG is an institution under public law and was founded on February 25, 1993 with the Hospital Operating Act (now: Carinthian State Hospital Operating Act ). It consists of the Klagenfurt-based KABEG management and the following five state hospitals , for whose operation and maintenance it is responsible:
- Klagenfurt am Wörthersee Clinic
- Provincial Hospital Villach
- Wolfsberg State Hospital
- Gailtal Clinic in Hermagor
- Laas State Hospital
The organs of KABEG are the management board and the supervisory board . With more than 7,500 employees, KABEG is the largest service company in the country and the heart of healthcare in Carinthia.
