Käthe Kainz

Käthe Kainz (born March 19, 1913 in St. Pölten , † January 16, 1996 in St. Veit an der Glan ) was an Austrian politician of the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ).

education and profession

After attending compulsory schools , she learned the profession of cook . First she was a housewife , then a postal worker. Later she ran a restaurant in Oron in North Africa .

  • 1950: Member of the parish council of St. Veit an der Glan
  • 1964: Member of the state party executive of the SPÖ Carinthia
  • 1975: State chairwoman of the Socialist Women of Carinthia

She was also a councilor .
