Kåre Tveter

Kåre Tveter (born January 25, 1922 in Sør-Odal , † March 21, 2012 in Lillestrøm ) was a Norwegian painter.

Life

Tveter graduated from the National Crafts and Arts Industry School (SHKS), Bjarne Engebrets School of Painting and from 1954 to 1957 the National Art Academy. He painted numerous landscapes with a minimal use of color. In 1995, Tveter donated 40 works to the Kåre Tveter Collection Foundation in Longyearbyen on Spitsbergen, which are permanently on display in the Svalbard Gallery .
