Kårstein Eidem Løvaas

Kårstein Eidem Løvaas (born November 10, 1967 in New Orleans ) is a Norwegian radio host and politician of the conservative Høyre party . He has been a member of parliament in Storting since 2013 .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Kongsvinger , he worked in the Norwegian military from 1987 to 1989 . He then studied administration at the Swedish University of Lund until 1993 , but did not graduate. In 1991 he started working as a radio host in Sweden. Løvaas returned to Norway in 1994, where he hosted radio programs on P4 Radio Hele Norge until 2013 . Between 1998 and 1999 he was the station's program director. From 2007 to 2011 Løvaas was a member of the local parliament of Nøtterøy .

Løvaas moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2013 general election . There he represents the constituency of Vestfold and he was initially a member of the culture committee. After the 2017 election , he moved to the Economic Committee. In January 2020 he became part of the parliamentary group's executive committee.
