First Kékszalag, July 27, 1934

The Kékszalag is a long-distance regatta with a length of around 200 kilometers. It is the longest sailing event in Europe that takes place on a circuit on an inland lake . The regatta was carried out for the first time in 1934 and is comparable to the “ Centomiglia ” (one hundred mile regatta ) on Lake Garda .

Over 500 boats in various one- and two-hull classes always take part in the regatta .

  • On the weekend before the main regatta , the race for the White Ribbon takes place, which Fehér Szalag leads over a distance of 45 km.
  • The Horváth Boldizsár Memorial Race over 20 miles will also be held this weekend , which commemorates the successes of the Hungarian sailor Boldizsár Horváth .
  • On the Thursday before the main event, there will be a catamaran race with the 2szalag for classes F18 and M3 .
  • A long-distance regatta, the Kékpántlika , is offered for the boat classes Optimist , Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and 420 .
  • The sailing time for the Kékszalag is normally set at two days.

In 2015, the fastest boat, an Asso99 , took the course 20:28:39 hours, but was placed in 35th place because of the yardstick calculation . The last boat still rated took one day and another 23:51:07 hours.
