Cologne Cathedral Administration
The Cologne Cathedral Administration is responsible for all maintenance work on Cologne Cathedral . Your administration building with the cathedral archives and the apartment of the cathedral builder is the house at Roncalliplatz 2, completed in 1972; the workshops of the Bauhütte are below the cathedral plate between the choir of the cathedral and the Roman-Germanic Museum .
The head is the Cologne cathedral builder . The cathedral building administration is divided into the cathedral building hut , cathedral building archive and cathedral excavation.
The Dombauhütte is responsible for the structural work on Cologne Cathedral. It employs around thirty stonecutters and sculptors , as well as several roofers , scaffolders , joiners , painters and electricians . A locksmith , a blacksmith , several glass restorers , glass painters and art glaziers (a total of 60 employees) also work at the Cologne cathedral builder .
The cathedral building archive has been documenting the construction and restoration work carried out on Cologne Cathedral since the Middle Ages; it has a large number of historical photographs , construction drawings , elevations and sketches of the historical building. In cooperation with the Central Cathedral Building Association in Cologne , the Cathedral Building Archive publishes the ZDV's scientific yearbook, the Kölner Domblatt .
The cathedral excavation has documented the archaeological excavations in, around and under the Cologne Cathedral since the end of the Second World War.
