The König Glacier is a 5 km long and up to 2.5 km wide glacier on South Georgia . It flows from the northern flank of the Neumayer Glacier in a northerly direction to the head end of Fortuna Bay .
The first survey was carried out by participants in a German expedition (1928–1929) under the direction of Ludwig Kohl-Larsen . This named him after the Austrian mountaineer Felix König (1880-1945), participant in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911-1912) under the direction of Wilhelm Filchner .
