The Royal Kurhaus (also: Altes Kurhaus ) in Bad Reichenhall was built according to plans by Max Littmann . The Kurhaus is a listed building and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under number D-1-72-114-49 .

prehistory

After the city ​​fire of 1834 , in which around three quarters of the city were destroyed, Reichenhall was rebuilt on a large scale. In the second half of the 19th century, a spa was established in the city for which the brine springs were also extremely important.

The planning of the Royal Kurhaus was carried out by the architect Max Littmann . Following the building permit in 1898/99, it was built by Littmann's father-in-law Jakob Heilmann between 1899 and 1900.

use

With the opening of the spa guest center, various uses were relocated from the royal spa house to the new spa guest center, such as the casino .

The Royal Kurhaus is now used, among other things, as a conference center. It has 5 event rooms that can accommodate between 20 and 600 people, depending on the room and seating.
