The residential building at Körnerstraße 12 in Offenbach am Main is a listed building.

Construction work

The stately house has three floors and three axes . The facade is through a central risalit divided, it is a Zwerchhaus with truss gable. The top floor has a one-sided elevation with timber framing , the third floor is partly also made of timber framing. The window frames are made of sandstone and are partially coupled to form groups of two or three. On the upper floors there are simple window shapes with bevels , on the ground floor with richer decorations. The original fencing has also been partially preserved here.

The building was built in 1905 together with the property at Körnerstraße 14 as a semi-detached house, but number 14 is now a new building. The architect and client was Philipp Forster.

The building is a cultural monument for historical and artistic reasons.

Historical

For a long time Max Dienemann's private apartment was in the house . There, on December 26, 1935, he took Regina Jonas 's final exam for the office of rabbi and ordained her here the following day as the first female rabbi in the world.
