The Kılavuzlu Dam ( Turkish Kılavuzlu Barajı ) is a dam in southeastern Turkey on the Ceyhan , 15 km west of the provincial capital Kahramanmaraş in the province of the same name .

The Kılavuzlu dam was built in 1994-2001 with the purpose of irrigation , energy generation and drinking water supply . The barrier structure is a 56 m (above the valley floor) high earth embankment . The wall volume is 3.96 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of ​​2.88 km². The storage space is 69 million m³. The hydropower plant has an installed capacity of 54 MW. The standard work capacity is 144 GWh per year. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of ​​95,750 ha. The Menzelet Dam is upstream and the Sır Dam downstream .
