Kōhei Kawata ( Japanese 河田 晃 兵 Kawata Kōhei ; born October 13, 1987 in Oita ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Kawata learned to play soccer on the school team at Oita Tsurusaki High School and the university team at Fukuoka University . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2010 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2012 he was loaned to the second division Avispa Fukuoka . For Avispa, he completed 10 league games. In 2013 he was loaned to the first division club Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 17 top division games. In 2014 he returned to Gamba Osaka. In 2015 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu. At the end of the 2017 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League .
