Kōhei Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 康 平 Tanaka Kōhei ; born December 11, 1985 in Hokkaido ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Tanaka learned to play football on the school team at Obihiro Kita High School . He signed his first contract with Kashima Antlers in 2004 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2005 he was loaned to the second division Montedio Yamagata . For the club, he completed three league games. In 2006 he returned to Kashima Antlers. With the club he was Japanese champion in 2007 . For the club, he completed three top division games. In 2008 he moved to the second division club Vegalta Sendai . For the club he completed 23 league games.
