Kōji Sakurai
Kōji Sakurai ( Japanese 桜 井 孝 次 , Sakurai Kōji; * February 18, 1936 in Tokyo ) is a former Japanese triple jumper .
In 1956 he was seventh at the Olympic Games in Melbourne . He won silver at the Asian Games in Tokyo in 1958 and at the 1959 Universiade in Turin.
In 1960 he was eliminated from qualifying at the Olympic Games in Rome , and in 1962 he won the Asian Games in Jakarta . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he did not get beyond the preliminary round.
In 1960 and 1962 he was Japanese champion. He set his personal best of 16.18 m on November 16, 1963 in Kagoshima .
