Kōta Ogi ( Japanese 荻 晃 太 Ogi Kōta ; born May 5, 1983 in Gifu Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Ogi learned to play soccer on the school team at Gifu Technical High School . He signed his first contract with Vissel Kobe in 2002 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2005 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . At the end of the 2006 season, the club rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 46 league games. In 2007 he moved to league rivals Omiya Ardija . In 2008 he moved to league rivals FC Tokyo . In 2009 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . In 2010 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2011 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. In 2012 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 188 league games. In 2016 he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus . At the end of the 2016 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. In 2018 he moved to the first division club Vissel Kobe. At the end of 2019, he ended his career as a football player.
