KK Barrett
KK Barrett (* in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American production designer . He began his career in the mid-1970s as a drummer in the punk rock band The Screamers in Los Angeles, where he was best known for his minimalist drum pieces. In the early 1980s, the band broke up and he started working as a production designer.
For his work on the music video The New Pollution by Beck , he was in 1997 with a MTV Video Music Award in the category Best Art Direction in a Video award.
At the 2014 Academy Awards , he and Gene Serdena were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Production Design category for their work at Her .
