The KMG Kliniken SE is a private healthcare company in the Northeast and in the middle of Germany and operates acute care hospitals , rehabilitation centers , nursing homes for the elderly and for people with disabilities, medical care centers and outpatient care with about 3400 beds and places.

The company, founded in 1991, built on the 100-year tradition of spa and clinic operations in Bad Wilsnack in the state of Brandenburg and developed into a healthcare provider. The turnover has increased since 1991 from 3 million euros to 268 million euros in 2018. The company has around 5200 employees.

KMG operates clinics in Brandenburg ( Bad Wilsnack , Kyritz , Pritzwalk and Wittstock / Dosse ), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ( Boizenburg , Güstrow and Plau am See ) and Saxony-Anhalt ( Havelberg ). In 2019, the company took over the four insolvent DRK clinics in Bad Frankenhausen , Sömmerda and Sondershausen (all of Thuringia) and in Luckenwalde (Brandenburg). In 2020, KMG had to lay off its employees in Havelberg and announced the closure of the clinic there.

education

At the state-recognized school for nursing and geriatric care of the KMG Bildungsakademie in Pritzwalk , training is provided in the professions of health and nursing as well as health and nursing assistant and geriatric care assistant.

Initial vocational training in physiotherapy is offered by the state vocational school at the KMG Klinikum Güstrow. A large number of clinics and rehabilitation centers - both the KMG clinics and other operators - are connected to it.

At the school for surgical assistance (OTA) at the KMG Klinikum Güstrow, specialists are trained in the high-tech and complex work processes in the operating theaters and functional departments. In addition to assisting in the operating theater, the CTA also take on non-medical activities that can be delegated in the inpatient area and in administration.

The school for health professions at KMG Klinikum Luckenwalde trains health and nursing staff for both KMG and external cooperation partners.
