KNOW-FM (91.1 FM) is the main station for Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) based in Saint Paul . The station primarily broadcasts a talk radio format for the metropolitan area of Minneapolis-St. Paul . After the frequency of a commercial station became available in 1991, MPR operates a talk radio program and, in parallel with KSJN on VHF 99.5 MHz, a program for classical music.
The studios of KNOW-FM are located in the MPR Broadcast Center in Cedar Street in downtown St. Paul, while the transmitter on the KMSP-Tower in Shoreview located. KNOW-FM emits 100 k W on FM 91.1 M Hz . The station uses three HD radio channels.
In 2013, KNOW was ranked third in the top ten Highest Reaching Public Radio Stations in the USA.
