Shoreview is a city in Ramsey County in the US state of Minnesota . It is located in the metropolitan area of Minneapolis-Saint Paul and has around 26,000 inhabitants.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the area of the city is 33.0 square kilometers, of which 4.0 square kilometers is water. The Rice Creek flows through the north-west of Shoreview. Larger lakes are Turtle Lake, Snail Lake, and Owasso Lake.
history
The area of today's Shoreview originally belonged to the Mounds View Township. This was established on May 11, 1858 with the establishment of the state. On April 23, 1957, Shoreview was founded as an independent village on the initiative of some residents . At that time the place had 5231 inhabitants. On January 1, 1974, Shoreview received city status.

According to the 2000 census, Shoreview has 25,924 people in 9,965 households and 7,021 families.
