KOOP-LITERA international

KOOP-LITERA international is an independent network of institutions in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland that has existed since 2009/10, which manage estates and thus comparable collections and make them accessible to the public. As a portal, it offers commented information on archive portals , professional standards and relevant publications. It emerged from an Austrian initiative of the same name, which was limited to domestic literary archives and was based in particular on the project “Coordination of the data-supported networking of Austrian literary archives” (1997–2001).

A self-defined task is the exchange of experiences in the processing and presentation of estates taking into account national and international standards in the interface between archive, library and museum, etc. that is typical for estate processing. a. via a common internet platform and the organization of regular meetings of the “national” KOOP literary networks in the respective countries. Every three to four years there is also a conference in an international context (2011 in Luxembourg, 2014 in Bern, 2017 in Berlin, 2020 probably in Vienna).

The network is significantly supported. a. from the literary archive of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, the department of manuscripts and old prints of the Bavarian State Library in Munich, the German Exile Archive of the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main, the manuscript collection of the State Library in Berlin , the Center national de littérature / Luxembourg literature archive, the literature archive the Austrian National Library , the manuscript collection of the Vienna Library in the City Hall and the Swiss Literature Archive of the Swiss National Library .
