KV16 ( Kings' Valley no. 16 ) refers to an ancient Egyptian tomb in the Valley of the Kings in West Thebes . This is the tomb of Ramses I , a pharaoh of the 19th dynasty . The tomb was robbed by looters during the 21st Dynasty and the mummy of Ramses I was stolen. The facility is comparatively small and unfinished, but decorated. There is a burial chamber and three side chambers.
It was on 10./11. Excavated October 1817 by Giovanni Battista Belzoni for Henry Salt .
