Kaamel Salah-Eldin

Kaamel Salah-Eldin (* in Cairo ) is an Egyptian cellist.

Salah-Eldin studied at the Cairo Conservatory with Eldar Issakadze and Rasim Abdullayev . From 1980 he continued his training with Gerhard Mantel at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt, where he passed the artistic maturity examination in 1983 and the concert exam in 1985. He also attended master classes from Daniil Schafran and Harvey Shapiro . In 1983 he was a lecturer at the International Cello Summer Studies in Victoria, Canada.

Between 1983 and 1985 he was the winner of several international music competitions. In 1985 he became a member of the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra , and since 1987 he has worked closely with the Mainz Bach Orchestra . He has also performed with various chamber orchestras in the USA, Canada, Kuwait and Bahrain and as a soloist with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and the concerto grosso Frankfurt chamber orchestra .
