Kaanu Nelson Olaniyi (born March 27, 1998 in Riddes ) is a Swiss basketball player . He has been part of the national league team BC Boncourt since summer 2018 .

Player career

Olaniyi moved from Switzerland to neighboring France in 2013, where he was trained in the youth movement of the first division club ES Chalon . However, he did not make the leap into the club's first division squad. In the summer of 2017 he returned to his home country and joined the national league team Union Neuchâtel Basket .

For the 2018/19 game year he joined the national division BC Boncourt . In January 2019, he tore a cruciate ligament.

National team

Olaniyi took part in the B-European Championship with the Swiss national team in 2014. In 2017 he received his first squad for the men's national team.
