Kaarlo Kustaa "Kalle" Lappalainen (born September 30, 1877 in Juankoski ; † May 9, 1965 ) was a Finnish marksman .

successes

Kaarlo Lappalainen participated in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp in seven disciplines and achieved a top ten placement in six of them. In the prone position with the army rifle, he won the bronze medal in the team competition alongside Vilho Vauhkonen , Voitto Kolho , Veli Nieminen and Magnus Wegelius . In the three-position fight with the free rifle, however, he missed another medal win as fourth with the team. He finally secured a second bronze medal in the team competition of the running stag in a single shot when he finished second behind Norway in front of the United States with Yrjö Kolho , Robert Tikkanen , Nestori Toivonen and Magnus Wegelius.

Lappalainen won two titles in Finnish championships. After his active career, he temporarily held the presidency of the Finnish Rifle Federation.
