Kaarlo Rantanen (born December 14, 1988 in Tampere ) is a Finnish football player . The midfielder is under contract with FC Kuusysi in Kakkonen , Finland .

Career

Kaarlo Rantanen was born in Tampere, in southwest Finland. As a child he joined the local soccer club Tampereen Ilves before Rantanen went to Lahden Reipas, a club from the city of Lahti . In 2007, FC Lahti became aware of the tech-savvy player and signed him.

At the Veikkausliiga club , however, the midfielder only made a few appearances in three seasons. During his time at FC Lahti, he was loaned to FC Hämeenlinna in the Finnish Second League in 2009 . After two years he left the club for Slovakia, where Rantanen signed with MFK Topvar Topoľčany . After staying below his means there, he went back to his hometown club Tampereen Ilves. For the 2011 season Rantanan signed with JK Nõmme Kalju from Estonia. In 2012 Rantanen returned to Finland and has played for FC Kuusysi ever since.
