Jan Hána
Jan Hána (born October 28, 1927 in Dobronice u Bechyně , South Bohemia ; † September 20, 1994 in Prague , Czech Republic ) was a Czechoslovakian sculptor .
life and work
Jan Hána worked in a local ceramic workshop in Dobronice. After the Second World War , he began state training as a ceramist at the Státní keramická škola (State Ceramic School) in Prague. From 1945 to 1951 he studied with Professor Karel Pokorný at the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague and from 1947 to 1948 with Professor A. Antunac at the Výtvarná academy in Zagreb in Yugoslavia .
In 1983 Hána was appointed professor at the Art Academy in Prague.
