Kadampa Desheg ( Tib. Ka dam pa bde gshegs * 1122 , † 1192 ) was a Tibetan master of the Nyingma -Schule. He is the founder of the Kathog Monastery ( ka thog dgon ) in Kham , in the Baiyü (Pelyül) district of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous District in Sichuan , in 1159 and thus the Kathog line, the oldest of the Nyingma schools. His five high school students attained the rainbow body , as it is said to have attained from them down to Nyala Pema Düdul ( nyag bla padma bdud 'dul ) at the end of the 19th century by a hundred thousand practitioners of this lineage.
