Kai Schöneberg

Kai Schöneberg (born August 2, 1968 ) is a German journalist . Since May 2012, he and Beate Willms have headed the Economics and Environment department of the daily newspaper die tageszeitung (taz) in Berlin .

After graduating from high school in Bonn in 1987, Schöneberg studied history, political science and Romance studies in Bonn and at the Free University of Berlin . Then from 1995 he was editor of the Costa Blanca News in Spain in the province of Alicante . From 1998 to 2001 he was the policy editor and television coordinator for Superillu magazine . From 2001 to 2009 he worked for the taz for the first time as an editor in Bremen and as a Lower Saxony correspondent. He then worked as a page maker and editor for the Financial Times Deutschland . He has been back at taz since 2012.
