Kaicheng site

The Kaicheng site ( Chinese  开 城 遗址 , Pinyin Kāichéng yízhǐ , English Site of Kaicheng ) on the territory of Guyuan in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region , People's Republic of China, is a site from the time of the Yuan Dynasty (the Mongols). It is located about 20 km south of Guyuan at the eastern foot of the Liupan Shan .

Here was a residence of the Mongol rulers Genghis Khan , Möngke Khan and (Yuan Shizu) Kublai Khan .

The Kaicheng site ( Kaicheng yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-128) since 2001 .
