Kobe subway
The subway of Kobe ( Japanese 神 戸 市 営 地下 鉄 , Kobe-shiei chikatetsu , dt. Urban subway Kobe ) is the metro network of the Japanese city of Kobe . The operating hours are from 5:30 am to midnight, the frequency is, depending on the number of passengers, between 3 and 7½ minutes on the Seishin-Yamate line and between 6 and 10 minutes on the Kaigan line. It consists of two lines, the Seishin-Yamate Line and the Kaigan Line.
Seishin Yamate Lineage ( 西 神山 手 線 , Seishin Yamate-sen )
The first, 5.8 km long section was put into operation in March 1977, and the line was extended until 1987. It currently has a total length of 22.7 km and 16 stops. It has a track width of 1,435 mm ( standard gauge ) and is operated with 1,500 V direct voltage , the electric cars get their electricity from an overhead line . Because of its route, it is sometimes called the U-Line. It runs between Seishin-Chuo and Shin-Kobe, and also together with the Hokushin Line from Shin-Kobe to Tanigami . It runs above ground between the final stop Seishin-Chūō and the stop Myohoji . An average of 260,000 passengers are transported every day.
The trains of the first generation (Series 1000) consist of four (possibly eight) cars, each 19 m long, 2.79 m wide and 4.09 m high. They are equipped with longitudinal benches and air conditioning. A not insignificant power recovery is achieved on a 2700 m long ramp with a slope of 29 ‰.
Kaigan line ( 海岸線 , Kaigan-sen )
The Kaigan Line (German coastline) was opened on July 7, 2001 and has a total length of 7.9 kilometers. In contrast to the Seishin-Yamate line, it is a small profile line, i. H. the tunnel diameters are very small, which has reduced construction costs. However, it also runs at 1,435 mm with 1,500 V direct current. Their final stops Shin-Nagata and Sannomiya-Hanadokei-mae are also the only transfer options to the Seishin-Yamate line and the JR train company . Sannimomiya-Hanadokei-mae is about a 7-minute walk from Sannomiya Station on the Seishin-Yamate Line and the JR Kobe Line , Hanshin Main Line and Hankyu Kobe Line .
