The city of Kaili ( Chinese 凯里市 , Pinyin Kǎilǐ Shì ) is the capital of the Qiandongnan Autonomous District of the Miao and Dong in the southeast of the Chinese province of Guizhou . Kaili has an area of 1,306 km² and a population of around 450,000.
