The Kaiserin-Augusta-Stift (house address Gutenbergstraße 57 , formerly under Sedanstraße ) in the Wuppertal residential area of Arrenberg in the Elberfeld-West district is a former old people's monastery and was established in 1895 in the then independent town of Elberfeld . It had been set up for old, single and “innocent” women from working-class circles; they found accommodation, food and supplies here.

The three-storey house with a loft and built in brick . The opening took place on November 1, 1895.

On April 10, 1991, the building was recognized as a monument and entered in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal. The building has been used as a daycare center since 1999 . The conversion had an investment value of 3.1 million DM, where the state contributed 2.1 million.
