Kaitinano Mwemweata (born July 22, 1984 in Butaritari ) is a former Kiribati athlete .

biography

Kaitinano Mwemweata took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . With her start in the run over 100 meters , she was the first athlete in her country to take part in an Olympic competition. Despite a new national record of 13.07 seconds, she was eliminated in her lead.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , she should start again, this time over 200 meters. However, she could not compete because of tuberculosis disease. In the same year she was able to win the bronze medal at the Oceania Championships in 2008 over 400 m hurdles.
