Kaj Fölster

Åsa Kaj Fölster (née Myrdal ) (born August 27, 1936 in Sweden ) is a Swedish writer , social worker and politician .

Life

Kaj Fölster studied at the University of Delhi , the Social University of Stockholm University and the University of Göttingen . She holds a master’s degree.

Fölster also lived and worked in Germany. Among other things, she was Darmstadt's first women's representative . As a local politician, she was active for the SPD in Hesse .

Fölster got involved with the aid organization Sida . She was also active in a leading position at the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ). In the Hessian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs she held a management position in the planning area. She was responsible for gender equality and social security.

Today Kaj Fölster lives again in Sweden and continues to be politically active across the borders.

Kaj Fölster is the daughter of Alva Myrdal and Gunnar Myrdal , and the sister of Jan Myrdal and Sissela Bok. She is the mother of Stefan Fölster, Niki Fölster and Linnea Fölster. Kaj Fölster is Sofia Fölster's grandmother.
