Kakemann

Kakemann (dt. Kuchenmann , plural: Kakemenn ), locally also julemanna , gøttekælla or kakekæller , is a traditional Christmas sweets, especially in the southern and western part of Norway is baked. It contains wheat flour , margarine or butter , milk , deer horn salt and sugar . The dough is rolled out and large Santa Claus figures are cut out. After baking, the cakes should be as white and soft as possible. After baking, the kakemenn are often decorated with red and green pastry colors and sugar, or with chocolate.

It is believed that the tradition Kakemenn to bake, from mountains originates and on the imported there from German and Dutch merchants Spekulatius back.
