Kalervo Oberg
Kalervo Oberg (born January 15, 1901 in Nanaimo , British Columbia , † July 11, 1973 in Corvallis , Oregon ) was an American anthropologist of Finnish origin. The scientist coined the term culture shock and developed a phase model for this, which is still scientifically recognized today.
He researched the Tlingit Indians, various Indian tribes of the northern and southern Mato Grosso in Brazil and many other cultures.
