Kalju Teras

Kalju Teras (also Kaljo Teras ; born November 24, 1922 in Tartumaa , † November 14, 1990 in Põltsamaa ) was an Estonian teacher and long-time director of the high school in the Estonian city of Põltsamaa . He passed his high school diploma at Hugo-Treffner-Gymnasium and then studied history at Tallinn University , where he graduated in 1956. From 1967 to 1971 he was a member of the Supreme Council of the Estonian SSR . In 1982 he was given the honorary title of " People's Teacher of the USSR".
