The Kaltenbach spring in Kirchsee-Filz is a narrowing spring with a spring pond southeast of the Kirchsee near Sachsenkam in Upper Bavaria . The spring pond is about 100 m long and 50 m wide and is in its original state. The source is of local importance and is located in the nature reserve Ellbach- and Kirchseemoor and is accessible via a hiking trail. Its outflow is the Kaltenbach, which after a few hundred meters flows through the moor (felt) into the outflow of the Kirchsee, the Kirchseebach .

Geotope

The Kaltenbachquelle has been designated as a valuable geotope (geotope number: 173Q001) and natural monument by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment .
