Kamawie is a town in Sierra Leone and since 2017 the administrative seat of the Karene District in the Chiefdom Sella Limba in the North West Province . The population (as of 1985) is about 6300.
Kamakwie has four primary schools and two secondary schools as well as a vocational training center. There is a hospital in the village.
